The AIS Library

The AIS Library is a database that provides details of all the ships, aids to navigation, base stations and search-and-rescue aircraft you have ever detected while using AIS (even those that are not visible on the current chart). It shows all the recorded details of each target. It also show a list of 'sightings', giving a history of where and when you have seen this target in the past. A sighting is automatically added to the history of each live target whenever you switch off the AIS or quit PassagePlus.

Click 'Look Up' to find out more about the target in Google™. Drag in a picture from the web or your photo library (please respect any copyright that might apply). Click 'Show' to see on a chart all the places where you have sighted this target in the past. Add your own comments about a target in the 'Comments' field.

You can delete individual sightings of a given target, or you can delete all details of a target (it will be added again if you detect it in the future). back
