Can I use PassagePlus on more than one machine?

Yes, but you will need a Serial Number for each machine. You get one Serial Number automatically when you buy PassagePlus. Please email us if you need an extra one. We recognise, for instance, that many users will wish to do passage planning on their home machine and use a different machine on their boat.

Please note that the terms of the data licensing agreements with the chart suppliers mean that you would need to buy the charts again for the second machine (except for NZMariner charts, which are free). We understand that the chart suppliers (ie, the UKHO or the AHS) may give a discount on the second set. back

My serial number is not accepted

A Serial Number will only work on one machine. Normally, this will be the machine you were using when you purchased PassagePlus via eSellerate. If you need to use PassagePlus on more than one machine, please email us. We will generate an extra Serial Number for the second machine. back

I am upgrading to a new Mac. Do I need a new Serial Number?

PassagePlus was working in full mode, but now it has dropped back into demo mode. What happened?

Your Serial Number may have expired. They expire after 12 months. Normally, we try to send you a new one in advance.

Another possibility, though unlikely, is that you have accidentally deleted or moved the licence file that holds the serial number. This is stored either in /Library/Application Support/PassagePlus/LicXXX.licence or in your Home folder at ~/Library/Application Support/PassagePlus/LicXXX.licence. back
